My first Teeth

Hello there,

I can start new trouble now. I have two teeth coming out. It hurts a lot. Appa and Amma are trying all they can do to ease the teething trouble. I nibble at frozen bagle (thanks to Linda Ajji's advice) and my teething friends, as well as anything that I can grab to my mouth.. Amma took nice snap of my teeth. Since it is very special, I have embedded it to this post (Click on the photo to see the big photo)

Saaranga Uvaacha (Saaranga's Sayings)


Feb 03 2012	"Thats Chinese" Back after a long time. Will try and fill in a year's worth of pearls in few updates. Saaranga is performing as Krishna on his School day and slaying Kaalinga. Amma wants to see how the practice has been so far and asks Saaranga to enact it for her. we don't have music for this drama at home, hence amma starts singing her version of 'Ta Na Na' to the pattern of Mohana Raaga. Saaranga said 'Hey Hey - That is Chinese Tune". In reality, it did sound like Chinese :-)
Sep 12 2010	"Nothing" Saaranga likes to feel weightlessness by having a free fall onto sofa from the Sofa handle. He does it couple of times and Amma says "Saaranga - do it limited number of times. Otherwise your brain may get some injuries". Saaranga says "Oh! Okay". Then Appa asks "Saaranga what is inside your head?" Instantly came Saaranga's response "Nothing". I think he has the true understanding that our philosophers have preached for ages - "You know something, when you know nothing"
Jun 30 2010	"Appa - You should be Proud" Appa is getting ready to office and picks up his bag. When Appa said "Bye Saaranga", quickly came the reply from Saaranga "Appa go to office and be proud when you come back"
Apr 18 2010	"I am coupling Engines" Saaranga is playing with his new set of Thomas series die cast trains. Suddenly he says, I want to couple James to Thomas. We are hearing many new words every few days and almost all of them are coming from Thomas and Friends show
Mar 14 2010	"Bike Beelta Ide (Bike is Falling)" Saaranga is riding his tricycle and while turning the tricycle tips over. Instantly Saaranga says "Bike Beelta Ide". Kannada is limited to Amma talking to few of her friends and relatives but the hang over of India trip still remains with Saaranga
Feb 13 2010	"Told You So" Saaranga was asking to unroll toilet paper and Appa says No. As Saaranga and Appa come out of the bathroom, Appa hits his leg on one of Saaranga's toys and winces. Saaranga says "Told You So. Saaranga wants to play with tissue"
Dec 20 2009	"Shukravaara (Friday)" Appa finishes bath and comes out of bathroom. He asks Saaranga - "Saaranga did you have your bath?" Saaranga says "Yes" (Saaranga had not finished his bath yet). When asked "When did you finish your bath?" Saaranga calmly replies "On Shukravaara (i.e. Friday)"
Nov 15 2009	"Appa You go and Work" Sunday morning. Appa was in the make shift office to do some official work and when he came out, Saaranga was standing on his step stool in kitchen playing with water in the sink. Appa asks Saaranga what he was doing. Saaranga replies back "Appa You go inside and Work" (I got everything under control. You don't have to worry kind of a tone!)
Nov 05 2009	"Saaranga Eat your Vegetable" While talking to Appa and Amma, Appa is asking questions and Saaranga is answering. It goes like this "how does Saaranga cry?" "Boo Hoo Boo Hoo" "What does the cat say?" "Meoooow. Meoooow". Then appa asks "What does amma say?" Saaranga replies "Saaranga, Eat your Vegetables"
Oct 19 2009	"Sari Kenodu" Saaranga asks Amma to sing his favorite rhymes while he was busy playing his makeshift drums. Amma sings "Naayi Mari Naayi Mari" in a different pace (in a funny way). Saaranga immediately retorts back "Sari Kenodu" (means I want to listen in the correct tune!)
Oct 10 2009	"Don't Fight & Oh I fell down" Saaranga and appa are haggling over a toy and Saaranga says "Appa No Fighting". While appa is dumbstruck, Saaranga loses his footing on the step stool , falls down and staring at appa and amma says "Oh No!, I fell down"
Jul 30 2009	"Teething Brush" Saaranga is watching appa brush his teeth and at the end says "appa you finished teething brush?"
Jul 24 2009	"No More Laptop" Saaranga is not getting off his tricycle. Appa who is working on laptop turns around and says "Saaranga enough playing. No more tricycle". Without skipping a beat, Saaranga replies back "Appa - No more Laptop" (for you)
Jul 23 2009	"Dood Peeyana?" Bharati Aunty is Saaranga's babysitter. He goes there in the evenings and eats snacks amma packs for him as well as drinks milk. Every day it is a habit of Saaranga to submit a report to amma of all things he does at Bharati Aunty's place. He says "Cookie tindana, cereal tindana etc." tindana means "I ate". Today he said "Bhaaki Aunti illolu doodu peeyana"
Jul 18 2009	"That is my Bunny" Saaranga hands over his plush rabbit to appa and appa says "this is my bunny" and cuddles it. Saaranga starts fighting with Appa and tries to snatch the bunny. After a minute he stops, puts on a serious puffy face and says "that is enough. this is my bunny"
Jul 11 2009	"Nama Hogodu" Saaranga wants to go outside and says to amma “Nama Hogodu” (Nama = we, Hogodu = Hoguva + Povodu
Jul 9 2009	"Gindi Maani Geppu" Saaranga’s amma dresses him as Gindi Maani after Saaranga gets his bath. On this day, Appa was getting ready to go to Sri Krishna Vrundavana and had worn a panche. Saaranga with his full dress comes to appa, tugs his panche and says “Appa, gindi maani geppu, pant padonu, nama poi”
May 5 2009	"UNTELL" Saaranga is going in train in Europe and every time the train passes a tunnel he would scream "UNTELL"
Feb 2009	"Uppitu" Saaranga is counting 1 to 20 in Kannada. 18=hadinentu, 19=hattombattu and at 20 he says Uppittu (Confused 20=Ippattu with Uppittu - a south Indian snack made with cream of wheat )
Jan 2009	"Meshanu" Saaranga is looking at a red chilli piece appa has kept on the side of the plate and says "Meshanu" (Menasu means chilli in Kannada)
